Dairy farms are developing with governmental support in Aktobe region. “Kazagrofinance” company has organized a press tour to “Andi” JSC.
According to Madi Kabakbaev, head of “Andi” LLP, the company has been specializing in livestock farming development since 1998.
“In 2010, the President announced new programs to support agriculture including animal husbandry, thus, we decided to start breeding of livestock. In 2011 we commissioned a livestock complex. Recently we have brought from the Idaho state of USA a Holstein-Friesian breed cows which have heavy milk production”, he said.
According to Beibit Baktybaev, a veterinary physician, the imported cows belong to an elite breed.
The project that cost more than KZT 900 million (tenge) was funded by Kazagrofinance with 4 percent per annum, once the designed capacity of the farm is 3,500 tons of milk per year.
However, as per Korgan Nurtazin, the director of Kazagrofinance branch, even with the commissioning of the second dairy farm in the region, “Ais” LLP and “Andi” JSC will together produce only about 30 percent of milk demand.
For milk production progress there will be granted loans to smaller farms of Aktobe region, one of the main conditions is purchase of breeding stock.
