Rapid development of Ukrainian soybean market continues. Further expansion of soybean acreage by at least 10% is planned for the 2014 crop. Consequently, Ukraine will be able to break the record of the current season and produce more than 2.8 MMT of soybean. UkrAgroConsult estimates that soybean crop has reached 2.54 MMT in 2013.
Increase of soybean production in Ukraine would come in handy, in light that China may become a buyer of Ukrainian soybean next season. On December, 05 Ukrainian President is going to sign a corresponding agreement with China. UkrAgroConsult believes that soybean supply to China will increase by analogy with current sunoil shipments to this country. During three months of the 2013/14 season China purchased more than 170 KMT of sunoil from Ukraine, while during the whole previous season China imported 286 KMT, and in the 2011/12 season – only 97 KMT of sunoil.
