Farmers of Sindh and southern Punjab are advised to irrigate wheat crop, which has entered into a very crucial development stage, ahead of the expected dry weather spell in these parts. Met Office in its advisory to the farmers said the wheat crop is in crucial stages to mature with flowers/milk in Sindh and southern Punjab.
It said the farmers should start weeds control measures that are at growing stages and may hurt the crops growth. “Weeds removing practices should be started,” it further advised, saying the farmers should also ensure field sanitation and use of prophylactic fungicidal sprays to protect vegetable crops from diseases.
