Wheat production in Argentina would shrink 15 percent to nearly 8.8 million acres. The projection was revealed by Gustavo López, director of consultancy Agritrend, to news portal El Cronista.
López blames low international prices and the government policy which imposes quotas on exports for the production decrease. Agritrend’s forecast is similar to other predictions.
