Farmers expect a reduction of productivity and gross crop of grain in Romania. According to UkrAgroConsult, Romania harvested 20.858 MMT in the current season. Soil moisture reserves indicate severe draught at this time in most regions of the country, and the weather is likely to remain dry throughout July and August.
According to national meteorological agency ANM, Romania can expect an intensification of drought in most regions of the country. Severe conditions are expected in all regions except the northern areas. Notably, the country’s main farms are located in the south of Romania.
