Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply announced that the Japanese government will send technicians to the South American country in order to speed up the full release of Brazilian beef in Japan. Brazil’s Agriculture minister Katia Abreu traveled to Tokyo in an effort to increase trade between both countries.
The visit of Japanese technicians is the last of seven stages to release Brazilian beef. The ban is imposed since 2012 because an atypical case of mad cow in Brazil. Katia Abreu said she is optimistic on the release until August.
“We are sure that their worries will be eliminated,” Abreu announced.
