Torrential rains have delayed the second corn crop harvest in several state of Brazil. In the case of Mato Grosso do Sul, according to the local Association of Corn and Soybean growers, the harvest reached 12.4 percent of the 4.04 million acres planted.
Compared to the average of the previous years, there is a delay of nearly seven percent. But, according to local agronomists, the rains and frosts in that state did not affect yields yet and have not generated losses.
